What is the GdR Or-Nano?

Or-Nano is a network of researchers focused on gold nanoparticles, supported by the CNRS as a Research Group (GdR) since January 2017 (GdR No. 2002). It is affiliated with the Institute of Physics and brings together approximately 600 researchers from 74 different teams across France. It is managed by the GdR executive board.
Its objective is to advance knowledge of the fundamental properties of gold nanoparticles and their applications in fields as diverse as biology, therapies, catalysis, optics, and more. Indeed, entirely unexpected properties have been discovered in gold particles of nanometric size (with diameters smaller than 10 nanometers).

Scientific Resources
This is the GdR’s « gold mine »! Here you will find the scientific presentations given throughout Or-Nano conferences, schools, and discussions. More than one hundred PDF documents created by scientific experts are available.

GDR Activities
The Or-Nano GDR is, above all, a network of French researchers. It organizes a wide range of activities, including conferences, symposiums, and thematic schools. It also carries out science outreach initiatives, writes articles for the press, hosts forums, and more.

Student Grants
The Or-Nano GDR offers financial support to students participating in its scientific activities. These grants help facilitate attendance at conferences, training schools, and other events organized by the network.
